The Fisherman's Hut Wins Twice at Asda!
The Fisherman's Hut picture recently won the Bronze Award in Asda Photo's - Nation's Favorite Photos competition in the category of “My Most Beautiful View” The picture also won a prize in "My Local Store" category. See: Not, I know, the world's most prestigious photographic competition but it's great to get the recognition especially for this image which is a personal favorite. The photograph was taken at Rye Harbour on the Sussex coast near Hastings. Rye Harbour together with nearby Dungeness is a remarkable stretch of coastline and unlike so many places the coast line is constantly growing out to sea! Rye was a sea port in medieval times, now it is some 5 miles inland and a Napoleonic watch tower once on the coast is already some considerable distance inland. This fisherman's hut with its red corrugated roof and black tar painted walls is an iconic structure sitting as it does on a sea of flint pebble shingle. Limited edition prints are available either through my gallery at or directly to discuss your requirements. The picture looks stunning mounted on white card in a simple black wood frame.

Copenhagen: a different perspective
A series of images from the famous quay side area of Nyhavn and adjoining areas. Copenhagen and Nyhavn in particular have been photographed countless times and rather than simply repeat what had been doing before this series of images aims at capturing and accentuating the repeating patterns, colours and details of these familiar landmark buildings and their distinctive architecture.

The Tall Ships Race came to Glasgow, or more accurately Greenock last weekend. A forest of masts and rigging brought new life to the old docks, at the same time giving an impression of how things must have once looked. The ships came in all shapes and sizes from the large classic 3 masted training ship Gloria from Columbia to the smaller sleek modern racing yachts of the Ocean Youth Trust.
A series of plant portraits were commissioned by master plantsman Denis Lobidel of his
amazing collection of different varieties of irises.

Welcome to Greenshoots Photography, the website of professional photographer Keith Gooderham. Based both in Glasgow as well as in the south east of England close to Brighton the pictures displayed in the web site not only reflect a wide geographic coverage but also show the wide ranging variety of subjects and styles which characterise my work. When asked what sort of pictures I take my usual response is to say that I concentrate on pictures of people and places. However, it is deeper than that, in that the pictures I take are usually intended to capture more than a simple record of a person or place and instead they aim to catch a particular moment in time and the associations that they evoke.
Through my work I aim not only to create high quality memorable photos for my clients but also to deliver the highest standards of customer service (see clients). Many of the images displayed on this web site are being made available to order world wide through the online gallery redbubble; alternatively you are welcome to contact me directly in order to discuss your particular requirements.
