Loulé Municipal Market

I first visited the market Loulé over 20 years ago and in that time it has transformed from a dark and dirty place to a bright, clean and modern fresh produce market, one of several similar markets in the region. The market attracts both locals and tourists, though it is the locals who do most of the shopping. The variety and quality of the produce  and the fish in particular is amazing and makes the typical British fish mongers counter look a pretty mean affair. Why don't the British eat more fish?
